Now — a word of caution. I put the globe onto the stand (you pinch the two metal prongs together so the globe fits over them) and then I noticed there was a slight swirl pattern on one side that I wanted to face more forward so I could see it better, and I turned the glass globe by hand. That was a mistake — it caused one of the metal prongs to scratch the inside of the globe. Thankfully, it is hard to see, but if you want to rotate the glass globe once it is on — don’t. Instead, pull it back off, carefully, lift until you can pinch the prongs together and lift the globe off. Then re-position and put it back, carefully pinching those prongs to slide it back on.
Also, I ended up at my local Ace hardware store to buy a bulb since it didn’t come with one. There were limited choices, but I got a 25W decorative incandescent frosted flame tip bulb by Westinghouse, candelabra base (E12) — it fits and it works.

Being an internet purchase you’re not always sure you made the right call, but this was one of those internet purchases that could not have worked out better.
The lamp looks better than the photo here and actually puts out a little more light than you might expect, plus it has looks of real era lamp. The detail is clean and the lines are great, I can only imagine what the original cost, but in my honest opinion this lamp makes a great gift and I would do it over.
I have to say by looking you cannot tell it’s a cold cast bronze resin powder lamp, it looks like a bronze statue lamp from the era. The only problem I have now is I think I’ll be buying one for my desk 🙂
